I’m interrupting my summer saga journal because I’m one week away from exhibiting work at The Other Art Fair LA.
And panic is starting to set in!
I have a lot on my to-do list. Geez, I don’t even know where I put the darn list!
I’m featuring the altered photos printed on aluminum that you see behind me in the selfie above. These came from a solo drive I made in 2014. My itinerary? Drive around the perimeter of the 48 contiguous states, counterclockwise, on interstates and US highways as close to the edge of the country as possible.
What an adventure! I’m still creating new art from all the photos I took.

Oh I bet you got to see so much! Part of me has always wanted to do a cross country road trip... but then the other part of me remembers how much I loathed getting back in the car on our second days drive to South Carolina and I wonder if I could even do it!
I cannot imagine driving by myself for that many days and miles. But, gosh, am I jealous of all that you saw! I'd love to hear more about your photos on tin? or something else? What an adventurer you are, Anne!
